Our Story
The Centre was founded in 2002. The Garden of Hope Centre was a response to the urgent need to improve the living conditions of children in the region, especially orphans and semi-orphans who often had to live on the streets.
Initially, the Garden of Hope Centre was a small school with only a few classrooms taught by volunteers. The students received free education, meals, and medical care. The goal was to provide the children with a basic education to give them better chances of a successful future.
Over the years, the Garden of Hope Centre has grown significantly. Additional classrooms, dormitories, and communal areas were built to accommodate the growing number of students. The Centre now also has a library, computer lab, bakery, and farm to provide practical skills and experiences to the students.
The Garden of Hope Centre has also become an important social hub in the community. It provides support for HIV-positive children and orphans, organizes sports and recreational activities, and promotes collaboration between the families of the students.
Many former students have successfully completed their education and are now working in various professions or studying at universities.
The Garden of Hope Centre is an example of how education and support for disadvantaged children can make a big difference. It also shows how a small initiative started by a few dedicated individuals can become an important institution in the community.
